What Kitchen Fitness is about in 60 seconds . . .
Every session offers a social experience to enjoy with friends, or engage with people who share a common interest. Master new and different dishes. Attempt new cuisines or cooking styles. Every session adds a new dish to your repertoire, and a great meal for you and your family to enjoy.
NOTE: Tickets are fully transferrable and may be shared with friends. Each ticket provides a single entry to a group class. A Bundle of 4 tickets may also be used to book a private session for up to 4 people.
Stove-side assist is a hotline staffed by a CooksClub Kitchen Coach between 10am and 7pm seven days per week. As the name implies, if you are in the kitchen and just need a little help, you can call for a short 5 minute consult to get you back on track or solve that cooking dilemma.
The Kitchen Fitness Membership provides 6 calls and the Kitchen Coach Membership 10, over the period of 12 months.
The session outline will provide a list of ingredients and equipment and you will receive an email confirming all details when you book.
The class is presented on Zoom. You can use many of the latest IOS or Android phones or tablets. Laptops are also great because the larger screen offers a potentially better experience.
Here is a top-line outline:
Costs are incurred by the Kitchen Coach host for the purchase of the ingredients required to present the class. The host’s time is also reserved.
We therefore ask for 24 hours notice for scheduled group session cancellations, and 48 hours notice for private sessions.
Where notice is provided, your tickets will remain valid and sessions may be re-booked for any other session or time.
We use the two terms because not all sessions that get listed might follow a structured “class” or learning format.
An “experience” might include food presentation as a show or a social event. It could be a Paella Party or a Sushi and Sake event, where the emphasis is shared across learning, fun and entertainment.
The different types of Experiences reflect the style and price level of the event. Black Tie Experiences are often fundraising or charity events.
It is a bit like attending sessions at a gym, it depends on the session time and type of class.
For continuity, the Kitchen Coach Membership aims to maintain one-on-one support throughout most of the program.
From launch we only have a small team, but we are expanding. As we grow we aim to increase our diversity to present specialists with a wide range of backgrounds and cooking styles.
Yes . . . no problem. Get a few friends together and share a cooking session or two.
Every class or experience has at least one scheduled group session time available for you to book.
If you wish to select your own session time and theme, then you need to purchase either a single private session at $85, or pay $149 which covers up to four people in a single session.
For more than four people, additional tickets may be purchased at $37.25 each. Simply request a booking time and theme and enter the number of people attending.
It depends on the class.
You can have multiple registered attendees share a kitchen, (say for an experience) providing that you are comfortable that the facilities required for that session are accommodated.
Some classes marked as “Kid Friendly” allow one or two little helpers if you can manage them. (your mic is muted by the host unless you raise your hand to ask a question)
Generally, to ensure the best experience for everyone, sessions are limited to a maximum number of registered guests. It would not be fair to everyone if individual attendees added unregistered people to a class.
The best idea is to simply ask your Kitchen Coach host if you wish to have a child in the session with you.
