Are you a CooksClub Kitchen Coach?
CooksClub is launching in August 2021, and we are looking for people suitable to fill the role of a Kitchen Coach Presenter for our Kitchen Fitness Program.
What is Kitchen Fitness? Think of a gym where you develop your food lifestyle.
The Job
The job is weekends. Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9 am to 12 noon.
The location is Epping, Sydney NSW.
The task is two tight 60 minute Kitchen Fitness sessions per morning, live webinar-style, presenting to Kitchen Fitness program members. Three hours on site, two hours to camera.
Like the fitness trainer in a gym session, the Kitchen Coach follows a common session plan overlaid with a separate theme/dish/style for each weekend. To be considered you need to commit to 10 weekends, not necessarily consecutive. This is a pilot program with the potential for ongoing work, more session times, and other opportunities.
The Role Requirements
Energetic person with cooking skills & background
The role requires confidence, energy and presence. You must be comfortable in a kitchen and able to work fairly fast with food prep. Good knife skills are essential. This is not exactly a cooking class, but you should feel comfortable with the idea of teaching cooking skills.
Think of lead chef in a restaurant kitchen as the team preps new provisions. Sometimes you might demonstrate certain techniques (you can study and practice), but like in a gym class, after a while the group know the drill.
You provide the vision of the outcomes the participants are looking for, as they prep for the week.
You bring direction & motivation, but participants might not all be keeping up, or doing the same task. You will be answering questions from participants, supported by a session producer. Each week there will be a new recipe or food style that will be the theme you present that runs behind the prep tasks.
