Gnocchi like Nonna makes
You can mostly get a fair result from a packet pasta, but I have never yet tasted a good packet gnocchi. Good gnocchi is a culinary delight. It is relatively rare outside of Northern Italy, because unless you have a beautiful Nonna to make it for you, you have to make it yourself.
Pronounced “n-yoh-key”, it’s a sensational dish to present to guests, because it is a wonderful food, but it has to be made fresh. Light, pillowy dumplings that can carry the flavour of a delicate sage butter sauce or a robust sausage ragú.
A CooksClub Experience is a cooking activity where the emphasis is on fun and social engagement. It is a great session to share with friends, as part of your own cooking club. You learn new things while adding to your food repertoire.
This is a kid-friendly class where you can have one or two munchkins join you in the kitchen.
Who should take this class? People who:
- Looking for an event to share with friends in different places when you can’t do brunch
- Want a dish for all occasions. Gnocchi is a dinner party entre or main, a Sunday family lunch or a sensational mid-week treat.
- Want a versatile dish that presents a great alternative to pasta and another dimension to food enjoyment.
- Love classic Northern Italian food and want to expand their culinary knowledge.
This class focuses on simple processes to achieve a light pillowy dumpling to deliver excellent and predictable outcomes every time.
You can choose the dish you create from this class. We will present gnocchi with pine nuts and sage butter cream, or roast cherry tomatoes, vegetables and chorizo. Choose one or both!
